Many families in Bihar want a Vastu-compliant home. You don't need to be an expert — a few checks on the floor plan go a long way.
Main entrance
East and north-facing entrances are traditionally preferred. In an apartment, the direction of your flat's door matters more than the building gate.
Kitchen
The south-east corner (Agni kon) is considered ideal for the kitchen, with the cook facing east.
Bedrooms
- The master bedroom works best in the south-west.
- Children's rooms suit the west or north-west.
Light and air
Whatever the directions, a home with cross-ventilation and daylight in every room is a happier home. That is why every Sanmat layout puts windows on two sides wherever possible.
